| 内容記述 | 「中国行きのスロウ・ボート」は村上春樹が創作した初めての短編小説である。この短編をめぐって、今までの研究は概ね〈中国〉、〈中国人〉のような固有名詞からアプローチし、解読を行なったが、主人公である「僕」がいかに中国人を認識するかに焦点を絞って、分析するものも少数でありながら存在している。記憶という角度から見れば、「中国行きのスロウ・ボート」は中国人に対する「僕」の認識を表現したものではなく、中国人の存在がいかに「僕」を変えたかことを表した小説と言っていいだろう。つまり、中国人に関する話は「僕」に人の個体性と社会との関係を考えさせ、「僕」はそれを通じて自分の存在を確認したわけである。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | A Slow Boat to China is the first short story created by Haruki Murakami. While most of the studies on this short story have approached and deciphered the story from the perspective of proper nouns such as “China” and “Chinese”, a small number of studies have focused on how “I”, the main character, perceives the Chinese people. From the perspective of memory, A Slow Boat to China is not an expression of “I”’s perception of the Chinese, but a novel about how the existence of the Chinese changed “I”. In other words, the story about the Chinese changed “I”. In other words, the story about the Chinese made “I” think about the relationship between individuality and society, through which “I” confirmed my existence. | |||||||||||||
