In view of that, the research on the changes of the suffix "-teki", which has undergone dramatic mutation, is significant to the observation of theoverall development of language.This paper analyzes closely the changes of descriptions of the suffix "teki" in 15 Japanese dictionaries, the earliest being the first edition of A Japanese and English Dictionary in 1867 and the latest being sixth edition of Kojien in 2008.
